Trust & safety
Curated means someone actually checked.
Used industrial equipment is a market where the buyer carries most of the risk. We can't remove that risk, but we can remove the easy ways to exploit it — and be honest about what's still on you.
Four layers, each doing one job
Vendors are verified before they sell
Every application is reviewed by a person, not a script. We check that the company exists, that it trades in what it says it trades in, and that the contact details resolve to it. Only then does the storefront go live.
Listings are moderated before they appear
A new listing enters a review queue and is published only once approved. Material edits go back through the same queue, so a clean listing can't be quietly swapped for something else after approval.
Conversations stay private
Enquiries are between you and the vendor. Our staff cannot browse them. The one exception is a thread that has been reported — an administrator can read that specific conversation while the report is open, and that access ends when it is closed.
Reports are acted on
Any message thread can be reported from the conversation itself. Reports land in a queue our team works through — we can freeze a thread so it accepts no new messages, remove listings, or suspend the account behind them.
Diligence we can't do for you
We introduce companies. We don't inspect machines, hold funds or guarantee a deal — so these five habits matter.
- 01
Inspect before you pay
Physically inspect the machine, or send someone you trust. Photographs are a starting point, not evidence.
- 02
Verify ownership
Ask for the documentation that proves the seller can actually sell it — and check that the name on it matches the company you're dealing with.
- 03
Keep it on the record
Agree the specification, price and terms in writing. Our messaging keeps a timestamped record of what was said.
- 04
Be wary of pressure
"Another buyer is on the way" and "pay a deposit today" are the oldest tools in the box. A real seller can wait for you to do diligence.
- 05
Watch the payment route
Be suspicious of a request to pay a personal account, an unrelated company, or an address that changed at the last minute.
Something looks wrong?
Report the conversation from inside the thread — there's a Report button at the top of every message view, and it reaches our queue directly. For anything outside a conversation (a suspicious listing, a company impersonating another), email us with the link and we'll investigate.
